Credent Wins Contract for Telco Project

Singapore, 29 May 2009 - Credent Technology (Asia) Pte. Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by a major Singapore Telco Company to design, develop, supply, deliver and install a New Telco Infrastructure Management System for managing their Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) roll-out. The major systems integration project is based on solutions from Intergraph, Visionael, Oracle and Microsoft’s Sharepoint, Biztalk and SQL platforms. “The new system will help to better manage the company's new telecom infrastructure initiatives. It provides a presentation of information on desktop, mobile and web platforms and enhances planning, decision making, enterprise connectivity and field connectivity “ says Mr Vijay Srinivas, GM, Business Process Services Division, Credent Technology.

Due to rapid expansion of the business in the telecom industry and rising consumer demand for a one-network multiple-service, telecom operators require larger bandwidths provided by new Fibre Technologies (e.g. FTTH) and Next Generation Networks (NGN). This will enable telecom operators to meet consumer demand for diverse voice, broadband, messaging, internet, data and multimedia services over a combination of fixed-line, mobile, internet and other networks.

Managing the FTTH and NGN infrastructure assets of telecom companies can be time consuming and labour-intensive. These tasks require system tools that streamline workflow and operational processes to effectively meet company requirements that span multiple business units. Companies are looking for solutions that address their logical workflows and core business processes that provide significant return-on-investment (ROI), financial impact and operational efficiency.
